A New Multivariate Linear Regression MPPT Algorithm for Solar PV System with Boost Converter

Operating solar photovoltaic (PV) panels at the maximum power point (MPP) is considered to enrich energy conversion efficiency. Each MPP tracking technique (MPPT) has its efficiency and methodology for MPP. This paper introduces a new method operating PV panel by implementing multivariate linear regression (MLR) machine learning algorithm. The MLR model in this study trained tested using data collected from specifications. algorithm can predict available panel, voltage corresponds specific values of irradiance temperature. These predicted help calculation duty ratio boost converter. MATLAB/SIMULINK results illustrate that, as time progresses, forced operate algorithm, yielding mean more than 96% steady-state operation system, even under variable irradiances temperatures.
